On April 10, 2008  I once again participated in the
"Power of the Purse"
charity event for Girls Inc. in Portland, Oregon.
Local celebrities were paired with local purse designers
and each team designed a purse that
was auctioned off on the night of the event.  This year my
celebrity was Ann Edlen and we created a lovely evening bag
made of silver silk organza that I hand pleated in a
rosette pattern and a shoulder strap made of hand-hammered
sterling silver wire and over 270 Swarovski crystals linked
together to form an eye-catching chain!
I was thrilled when the purse sold for $4000.00!!!!!!!

Unfortunately a decent photo of the purse is not available to
post here but the one to the left shows the purse I designed
with Tracy Barry of KGW TV in Portland for the
Power of the Purse event in 2006.
